Ground Floor – The former Library – with it’s original painted ceiling and doors; Black marble fireplace; gilded curtain pole and cool terrazzo floors it hosts many original features, decorated with a palette of neutrals mixed with some antique and contemporary pieces make this a stylish place to kick back and unwind.

The sitting room has 32” flat screen TV with European and English satellite programming, complementary mini bar with wine, soft drinks and snacks, Tea and Krupps coffee machine and free Wi-Fi. We also provide the use of a beach bag with towels and mat for days out.

Being on the ground floor there is direct access to the garden and would suite someone with limited mobility, but there are a couple of steps involved.

In the bedroom it’s furnished with vintage French pieces including a rare 18th century Provencal armoire and needlepoint rugs. We have a vast collection of hand embroidered linen bedding and use the lightest silk blankets and down pillows.

In the en-suite bathroom it continues with French theme with a hand painted commode and mirror, walk in shower with overhead rain shower and hand held showerhead, heated towel rail and WC. We provide L’Occitane toiletries, robes, slippers and hair dryer.

This first floor suite has direct access to its own balcony that overlooks the courtyard garden with 2 armchairs, parasol table and 2 dining chairs, where breakfast can be served.

In the bedroom the French theme continues with an elegant bedroom suite with split cane bed and pretty mirrored armoire. We have a vast collection of hand embroidered linen bedding and use the lightest silk blankets and down pillows.

We serve a full continental breakfast with fresh from the oven croissants, pain au chocolate and raison beurre, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, and coffee, English Tea or tisanes’. We also have a daily breakfast special which could be a very healthy fruit smoothie made from local seasonal fruit to not quite so healthy full English! Or scrabbled eggs with smoked salmon, waffles with fruit compote the list is endless.

Breakfast is served in the garden or dining room or in your room if booked in advance.

 

There a plenty of restaurants within a short drive in Pézenas and surrounding villages with excellent seafood on the coast and we also offer Table D’Hôtes up to 4 times a week, this varies between €25 and €39 including wine and aperitif from a barbeque buffet to 4 courses with canapés, it must be booked at least 24 hours in advance so we can buy fresh produce. We ca also provide picnics, booked at least 24 hours in advance at €10 per person.
